Designer : Jeffrey Bernett
In September 1995, Jeffrey Bernett founded studio B as a vehicle to conceive and promote projects in a wide range of design discipline. At the May 1996 International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City, Bernett presented his first collection of furniture accessories/objects entitled "Ideas for Production". The designs were awarded the 1996 Editor’s Award for the "Best Decorative Accessories" collection. At the ICFF in May of 2000 Bernett, along with five other designers, was named "Best New Designer" for work with U.S. manufacturer Dune. Bernett continues to design in many areas: interior architecture, furniture, household products, lighting, fashion accessories, graphic design/corporate image and art direction. In the emerging global market for design, Bernett has been the first American designer to work with several of his European clients, further establishing their presence in the U.S. market. A current client list includes Authentics, B&B Italia, Boffi, Cappellini, Dune, Esteé Lauder, Hidde/sdb, Michael Kors (LVMH), Ligne Roset and Troy. Jeffrey Bernett has been featured worldwide in the following publications: Abitare, Casa Abitare, Design Diffusion News, Domus, Elle Decor, House & Garden, Interni, Intramuros, Metropolitan Home, The New York Times, Ottagono and 50 Products and 50 Beds, both by Mel Byars. In addition, Bernett is a guest lecturer at design schools in the United States.
